Vulture Fest - 2013

 This weekend in Makanda is one of the most unusual events in the country.  Vulture Fest celebrates the winged scavengers which flock to the hills around the village.  Makanda, nestled in a valley south of Carbondale, is unique in Southern Illinois, a blend of native, funky, and old-hippy elements which provides a setting found nowhere else.  Come on down for the bands, the food, the arts (yes, Ruth & John's will be there again), the Rainmaker's Garden, and some of the best people watching you can find. 


This is also the last of our outdoor shows for the season, so come on out and visit us in our tent, Saturday and Sunday, October 19-20, 11:00a-6:00p.  The weather looks to be spectacular.
