VutureFest in Makanda, Day 1

We had an incredible first day of VultureFest in Makanda. I tried to post from there, but there is very little signal down in the valley anyway, and with several thousand people on their phones...well, let's just say that we weren't able to take any credit card payments all day. But not to fear, Makanda has two ATMs set up, or, be well prepared and bring cash. Either way, we will be there all day today and look forward to welcoming you to the most amazing show in Southern Illinois.

Wine & Art Festival at Rend Lake - 2024

 It looks as if it's going to be incredible weather for this weekend, and what better way to spend your time than to come out to the Wine & Art Festival at the Rend Lake Visitor's Center. I know I've been teasing you with some of the pieces I'll have there, but there so many more to be seen. And Ruth will be there with all her fabulous soaps and lotions. Are you thinking about gift shopping already? This is a great place to start. Come on out, taste a bunch of great local wines, then get a glass of your favorite while you browse all the wonderful artisans.

 

Red and Blue Epoxy with Black Walnut Charcuterie Board

 

This little beauty has taken some time, but I think you’ll agree it was worth it. Black walnut with red and blue tinted epoxy, and our usual mineral oil and beeswax finish. This one is going with us to the Art & Wine Festival at Rend Lake this weekend (unless somebody wants it before then).
