Whew! We are coming off of our biggest weekend ever, with our best show ever at the Holiday Craft Sale at the SIU Student Center, while at the same time we were doing the Christmas Market at the Lights at the Cedarhurst Museum in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. We are both, as you might guess, plenty tired. But we're very happy to have been able to brighten the holidays for countless people.
Take a quick look at our woodworking, with a pan through our display of wood and wood-and-epoxy charcuterie boards, as well as some wine racks and accessories, some cheese slicers, and some wooden boxes. This is from our recent show at The Christmas Market at The Lights at Cedarhurst Museum in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Something new for us this year: our woodworking has been accepted into the Cedarhurst Christmas Market at the Lights in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. We will be there Friday through Sunday, Dec. 6-8 with all sorts of kitchen and charcuterie boards, wooden boxes, and wine racks and accessories. Admission is free during the day, and included with the purchase of a ticket to The Lights in the evening. The Lights is a magical tour through the grounds of Cedarhurst. In their words:
On to the big one! This show was our best ever last year, and we're hoping for good things this year. We will be in our usual spot at the foot of the escalators, waiting for you with the best soaps, lip balms, and lotion bars you can find. Our products wind up under many trees and in a lot of stockings. But don't forget to treat yourself to something as well!
We've ordered up some snow for you today (just a little!) to get you in the holiday mood. So come on out to Alto Vineyards today from 9-5 for Vendors in the Vines, a celebration of local arts and local wine. Over twenty artists will be there with all sorts of items for your gift-giving list. Skip the big box and buy local art this year!
Tomorrow, 12-5 we'll be at Alto Vineyards for their Vendors in the Vines, a gathering of local artists with their best products available for you to catch up on your gift list. Come on out, grab a glass of your favorite Alto wine, and check out all the great art from here in Southern Illinois.
A reminder that if there's something you already know you want, let us know in advance and we can have it ready for you to pick up at one of our shows. Some of our items sell out quickly, no matter how much we make, so avoid risking disappointment by getting your request in now.

We had an incredible first day of VultureFest in Makanda. I tried to post from there, but there is very little signal down in the valley anyway, and with several thousand people on their phones...well, let's just say that we weren't able to take any credit card payments all day. But not to fear, Makanda has two ATMs set up, or, be well prepared and bring cash. Either way, we will be there all day today and look forward to welcoming you to the most amazing show in Southern Illinois.

It looks as if it's going to be incredible weather for this weekend, and what better way to spend your time than to come out to the Wine & Art Festival at the Rend Lake Visitor's Center. I know I've been teasing you with some of the pieces I'll have there, but there so many more to be seen. And Ruth will be there with all her fabulous soaps and lotions. Are you thinking about gift shopping already? This is a great place to start. Come on out, taste a bunch of great local wines, then get a glass of your favorite while you browse all the wonderful artisans.

I love the grain on this maple, and the purple really sets it off. 15 1/2” x 9 1/2”.
This one is cherry, about 15 1/2 x 9 1/2, with red and blue epoxy. I don’t know if the colors come through in the picture, but it’s pretty impressive.
