Holiday Craft Sale Open

Oh, the weather outside is...not that frightful.  The Holiday Craft Sale at the SIUC Student Center is going on today.  Ruth will be there to show you all the wonderful things we have been making for you and your loved ones.  So drive safely, but come out to the show today and say hello to Ruth.

Holiday Shopping with Ruth & John's

Ruth and John like to give handmade gifts to our family, especially things which can be consumed.  That’s how we got into making soap in the first place.  That first year everyone in the family got several bars of our home-made soap.  It was so fun to make that we kept at it long after the holidays, and we soon began selling it.  It was a short step from making soap to making lotions, lip balms, bath salts, misters, massage oil, and all the other products we offer.  We make every product with same care that went into those initial batches made for the family.

Autumn Fest - 2013

Coming up next...one of our favorite shows of the year.  Autumn Fest at John A. Logan College is easily one of the best shows in the area.  There are a lot of great artists, the level is very high, and customers come out in droves.  If you are looking for handmade gifts and artwork for your friends and family (or even for yourself!) you need to come to this show.   The coordinator even sent out an e-mail to all the exhibitors today reminding them that everything has to be hand made by the artist, that resale items are prohibited.  Since we put a lot of time and care into each of our products, we are very happy to see this.  You will be happy, too, when you see all the beautiful art and craft items on display.

We also look forward to having new items at this show.  Stop by our space in the cafeteria and take a look at what we have made just for this show.  And if you think of it, mention this blog.  We're always eager to know that the word is getting out.
